Almond and Datça

The most important region for almond cultivation in Turkey is Aegean Region of which Datça Peninsula plays the most crucial role.

The city of Muğla produces approximately %13 of total almond production in Turkey.

There are around 268,720 almond trees in the province and villages of Datça where 1,200 tons of unshelled almonds, 250 tons of almonds, and 400 tons of green almonds are produced.

A wide variety of almond products are being prepared and sold by almond producers and retailers in Datça. It is possible to taste and buy many almond products from honey almonds, almond halva, almond milk to almond stuffed olives.
